Our founder and chef, Charlie Watkins, is a devotee of Mexican cuisine.  Early in his career, he embarked on a mission across its sun-drenched landscapes to master the art of Mexican culinary traditions. At Blue Agave, every dish we serve is a testament to the authenticity and passion that Chef Charlie brought back with him.

Our cocktail menu is as carefully curated as our dishes. An Invitation to Celebrate

We invite you to come and lose yourself in the warmth and charm of true Mexican hospitality. As well as, engage in stories, indulge in the flavors, and embrace the festive, friendly atmosphere that makes our cantina a place not just to eat, but to gather and enjoy. Founded by Charlie Watkins in 1998, the original Blue Agave Cantina was located in the River Oaks area of Houston. We are now located in Houston’s Energy Corridor.
